Ivy's to do list

Phil believes that Ivy has a mental to do list everyday. These things include moving her toys from one side of the house to the other, taking every soda can off the shelf and placing them on the floor, emptying all the pots and pans, etc. Sometimes she will just trot around the house babbling to herself. It's facinating and really makes me wonder what she thinks about.

She has her own little places she likes to hang out in, which consistenly seem to be sitting inside our old tv stand, sitting in pots and sitting on my step stool in the kitchen. She's become my regular little shadow when we are at home which can be a blessing and a curse. She wants to be in the kitchen with me, even when I'm trying to load the dishwasher! Now that she is walking, she will chase me, and loves it when I chase her.
She has also begun to do very feminine things, like carry a purse (or a circus animal cage, as this may be) and hug all of her animals and babies. It's so cute

Playing with food

As Ivy grows so do her antics in food increase. I've given up on fabric bibs and switched totally to plastic bibs (thanks Jen!). I'm tired of trying to get stains out of her bibs and clothes.
Which brings me to the invention of the "Spagetthi Shirt." For the longest time, Ivy just went naked whenever she ate anything that stained. Spagetthi, lasagna, mandarin oranges, chocolate, etc. As the winter months are arriving, I have felt increasingly guilty about sitting her in her cold plastic highchair naked. So I created the Spagetthi Shirt. I really should call it the "Anything Stainable" shirt, because I feel now I should add and addendum to her shirt! I love it, because I don't care if it ends up orange. It will absorb the colors of the food and be all the prettier, right? No... this is all for sanity's sake.


And isn't she adorable sitting in her lasagna? ;)
