Ivy at Easter

When I uploaded Ivy's pictures from Easter this year- I found her pictures from last year. I can't believe how much my baby has grown! In fact- I don't know if I can call her my baby anymore- I think she's my big toddler! So enjoy!

Here's also pictures of Ivy in her Easter dress that I promised for you all to see. I feel like it turned out well- I've since had to fix a few things but she turned out looking like a little Cinderella. I love it!

Here's also pics of the rest of the family with our Easter baskets. Phil told me specifically this year that he wanted an Easter bunny- so I got him one of the ones with gigantic ears, and some Jelly Belly jellybeans. Mmmm... I think he was both excited and surprised. And Ivy... well she just couldn't believe all that chocolate was for her!

Ivy's Happenings since Febrary

I'm the worst blogger. I let pictures pile up for months before I post them. Sooo... here finally are some pictures of what Ivy has been up to the past few months.

Still falling asleep in her highchair

Phil got her a "love duck" for Valentine's day. He got her one last year- and luckily this year he found a pink one. I think it's the breast cancer awareness duck... ;)

Ivy has finally started to let me curl her hair. It takes some time and patience- and a ton of distractions!

We've had a bunch of blizzards lately. After one such blizzard- Ivy got really excited about the "no" outside- snow that had built up on our back balcony. I scooped up some and let her munch on it... she had a blast!

I finally buckled down and started making her eat with a spoon. She tends to stab herself with forks so we make do with spoons. Here she is munching up some chili dogs... beans- hotdogs- and cheese.

We went hiking with friends up in Garden of the Gods. Phil took this pic of the two of them. I love it!

She loves to sick her fingers through things- like her pizza- while she eats it. It's okay- it's real finger food!

Listening to music on our bed... She gets sooo excited. You probably can't tell that from the picture, can you?

Here's a better music fun expression!

Ivy's Easter Dress

A friend and I decided this year to make our daughters Easter dresses. I couldn't find the right dress at the store this year.
I found a wonderful pattern from Simplicity's website- super versatile, and fun. It's also an easy to sew! We spent hours picking out beautiful fabric- I got an embroidered pale blue cotton. I feel silly putting my daughter in blue- but I promise it makes her eyes just pop! This is the first time I've ever made a dress from a pattern and I'm proud of it. It took me most of today to do it- but that's probably do to my silly mistakes- including but not limited to- sewing the skirt shut, sewing the top on inside out, etc!
Here's the finished product and some work guidelines!
Tune in on Sunday for Ivy in her pretty new dress!
