Halloween 2009

Here's some fun pics of Halloween this year. We went with some friends to a neat pumpkin patch in Black Forest the week before Halloween. They had a petting zoo, a wagon ride, a kiddie train ride, and a huge pumpkin area. Ivy had a lot of fun playing with the animals and trying to kiss them! We had our pictures taken by a camel who thought we looked quite tasty. Phil ended up with camel slobber all over his sweatshirt! Included in our admission price was a pumpkin for a each of us.
For FHE on the Monday before Halloween we drank apple cider, watched Charlie Brown & Garfield's Halloween specials and carved our pumpkins. I've been the one whose had to do it the last few years and it was a lot of fun having Ivy and Phil get into it. Ivy's job ended up being pulling all the pumpkin seeds out of the pumpkins which she seemed to enjoy!
On Halloween Phil put our pumpkins outside and decorated our door. We made mummy dogs for dinner and took Ivy trick or treating in her costume. She had such a blast and Phil loved being able to run her up to each door. By the end of our excursion she had stopped being shy and exclaimed very happily "trick or treat" and "thankyou". Everyone thought they were adorable- so I think we got extra candy! I think I like these holidays more as an adult than I did as a kid!
